Dimitrovgrad

"Perishani" is a headgear jewellry, which is similar to the jewellry of the same name worn on the chest by its many characteristics. In some pieces of this type of jewellry worn in certain regions of Serbian ethnic areas there was almost no difference, so it is most likely that the same pieces of jewellry were worn both on the head and chest. What they had in common was that each piece of this jewellry consisted of three plates intertwined with several sets of chainlets. Chainlets were richly decorated with pendants made of thin silver tin in the shape of leaves or small circles. Plates were most often cast and decorated with vegetable ornamentation. In some cases, the middle plate was decorated with coloured glass. Some modest pieces did not have plates, just hooks.
